Adolescents in STEM
At AstraZeneca CAMCAR, we believe in the transformative power of education and empowerment, especially in critical areas such as Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Through our ESTRELLAZ program, we commit to opening pathways and opportunities for adolescent girls, inspiring them to pursue careers in these key disciplines.
The ESTRELLAZ Program
ESTRELLAZ is a social co-responsibility initiative in partnership with the Paniamor Foundation that seeks to encourage adolescent girls’ interest in STEM professions, providing them with the tools and support needed for their academic and personal development. Our goal is to break down barriers and build a future where all young women have the opportunities they deserve to lead and contribute to society.
● Educational Support and Training: We offer training programs focused on strengthening the STEM skills of participants, ensuring they receive a quality education that prepares them for the future.
● Empowerment and Leadership: We promote the leadership of young women, helping them develop key skills for their personal and professional growth, and ensuring they feel confident to pursue careers in STEM.
● Community Collaboration: We work closely with communities, schools, and organizations to create a support ecosystem that strengthens young women's capacity to achieve their goals.
Impact and Future
Since its launch, the ESTRELLAZ program has impacted hundreds of adolescents in the region, helping them visualize and work towards a future in STEM. With each effort, we continue to strengthen our commitment to ensure that young women can access meaningful opportunities that allow them to shine in any field they choose.
